Steph is a Soulful Singer, Community Choir Leader, Stage Manager and Improvised Lighting Operator.
Right now, Steph's new contemporary community choir with flare, the Polyester Blenders are well into rehearsing their upcoming show for the Age Melbourne Fringe Festival, 2008.
For more than 12 years, Steph has been the primary improvised lighting operator for Impro Melbourne, and now serves on their committee.
Steph sings in an 8 piece contemporary, a cappella ensemble, the Vocal Agents, and teaches Impro Melbourne's Choir, whenever we can get them in the one place at the one time! Steph has returned as an alto to Living Out Loud, who are directed by the wonderful Sue Johnson of Coco's Lunch. Recently, Steph guest directed the Melbourne Singers of Gospel.
Steph also recently returned to Melbourne from Sydney, where she sang with Cafe of the Gate of Salvation (With whom she sang on Mornings With Kerri-Anne and with Powderfinger at the 2007 Aria Awards). Steph also sang with Voiceover (Vocal Trio), who had a regular spot at Bar Me and did some stage management for Impro Australia. Before Sydney, Steph lived in Darwin where she directed the 250 voice Palmelody children's choir for the Palmerston Festival.
Steph has been in many choirs in Melbourne, including the Melbourne Singers of Gospel, Melbourne Millenium Chorus, Soul Babes (A Cappella Quartet), and she directed many choirs in Melbourne, including the Freedom Train Gospel Choir and ran staff choirs for businesses including Anglicare Victoria.
